Ethics on a Cloudy Day: Developing Action Plans for Ethically Cloudy Questions | 3 CE Credits

Feb. 22, 2025

10:00 AM - 1:15 PM (EST)

Virtual Event
3 Ethic CE Credits
Ethical dilemmas can be complex, and it’s not always clear how to address them. This presentation provides participants with the opportunity to develop an Ethical Action Plan for responding to ethical dilemmas and to gain clarity on the issues at hand.
Ethical dilemmas are often complex, and deciding on a method to address the issue might not be clear. Ethics on a Cloudy Day: Developing Action Plans for Cloudy Questions allows participants to develop an Ethical Action Plan for responding to ethical dilemmas and “get their head out of the clouds.” Ethical questions are presented, reflecting new challenges and cloudy situations arising from technological advances and documentation. Precise definitions of boundaries and terms related to boundaries will be explored while addressing the mind-body connection. Boundaries will then be linked to therapeutic relationships and conflicts of interest with transparency.

Dayna Guido, MSW, LCSW

Dayna has always been a natural leader and a pillar of support for those around her. From a young age, she had a strong sense of empathy and a desire to help others, which led her to pursue a variety of roles in which she could make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Early on, as a lifeguard, she was responsible for ensuring the safety of those at the pool. She took this responsibility seriously, always going above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a good time while staying safe. All of this foreshadowed Dayna’s future.

As a therapist, she uses her skills to help her clients overcome their challenges and find meaning and purpose in their lives. As a supervisor and educator, Dayna continues to use her natural leadership skills to support her supervisees and students. In her professional career, Dayna excels as a leader, guiding teams with humor and creativity. She recognizes the importance of building strong relationships and always taking the time to listen to concerns and provide support.

After this training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the intersectionality of boundaries, relationships, and conflicts of interest.
  • Identify the ethical risks associated with technology and documentation.
  • Describe how to develop Ethical Action Plans to address ethical dilemmas with issues such as racism and homophobia.
