Shoshana Averbach, LMSW, MA, MT-BC, LCAT, CDP, CCM, BCBP3, CMIP
Shoshana Averbach earned her Master of Social Work degree from Yeshiva University and a Master of Arts degree in music therapy from New York University. She is a certified practitioner of the Emotion Code, The Body Code, and Belief Code. She incorporates other energy healing and holistic modalities as well as mindfulness practices in her therapy such as visualization, Emotional Freedom Technique, Tapas Acupressure Technique, aromatherapy and more. She has worked primarily with adults and geriatrics of multicultural backgrounds for over 40 years. Shoshana aims to connect people with their soul source, inner knowing and light, for optimal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Currently, Shoshana maintains a private practice in healing and counseling and teaches as an adjunct professor of psychology at Touro University. In January 2024, she launched her online, visual podcast, Love, Light and Wisdom, which discusses personal growth, transformation, and healing. She also presents at conferences and for educational webinars for social workers and mental health professionals. Shoshana’s healing work and approach to healing were featured in Mystic Mag online magazine, the Jewish Week newspaper, Blogtalk Radio, and other programs. She authored articles in various publications and produced two CDs of her original healing music and songs: The Time Is Coming (2011) and I Reclaim My Heart (2015).
After this training, participants will be able to:
- Explore interventions for patient care through the creative arts.
- Identify creativity as a means to foster resilience and its role in healing trauma.
- Define sources of stress that our clients may experience, such as burnout, trauma, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma, and their causes.

Canada Social Workers
BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, and QC accept ASWB ACE-approved provider programs to meet licensure renewal requirements.
