Veronica Franklin, LCPC
Dr. Franklin serves as the Behavioral Operations Manager at Kaiser Permanente in Largo, Maryland, and oversees operations for the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Urgent Care Unit. With more than 20 years of impactful experience in behavioral health organizations, she also operates a private practice dedicated to supporting BIPOC women through Nature Informed Therapy (NIT) and Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT). Her extensive career spans graduate-level teaching in four states, leadership roles in both public and private higher education, and expertise in equine-assisted interventions. As a behavioral healthcare leader, Dr. Franklin consistently drives measurable business outcomes and develops strategic initiatives, including experiential workshops focused on racial minorities and wellness in spiritual communities. She is a board member of SMYAL, supporting sexual minority youth in the DMV area, and an active member of the Ebony Cowgirls Association. Dr. Franklin’s professional interests include Experiential Technique therapy, trauma-informed care, and advancing best practices to improve behavioral health outcomes for women in our communities.
