Feeling overwhelmed or burned out? This CE training goes beyond self-care, offering practical tools to manage stress, reduce compassion fatigue, and strengthen resilience. Special focus is given to the experiences of BIPOC clinicians navigating microaggressions and systemic racism—helping you restore balance and enhance your clinical practice.
This continuing education course is for clinicians who feel overwhelmed with current events and burned out by the work they do. This course will go deeper than a discussion on self-care and provide practical tools for handling your stress levels. Attendees will be able to immediately implement skills learned to improve their clinical practice and overall well-being. This course will also address concerns related to BIPOC clinicians dealing with microaggressions and systemic racism which also contribute to compassion fatigue.

Natasha D’Arcangelo, QS, LMHC, LPC

Natasha is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the states of Florida, Idaho, Iowa and Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Delaware, Oregon, South Carolina and Virginia. She is also a Florida Qualified Supervisor. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, Sarasota. She is the Chief Clinical Officer for LBee Health and the owner of D’Arcangelo Counseling & Consulting, LLC. Her previous experience includes working as an educator, in an inpatient psychiatric setting, community mental health, private practice, the nonprofit sector, and mental health tech. She is an international speaker who has presented on various topics, most often on Compassion Fatigue.

After this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how to measure the severity of compassion fatigue symptoms.
  • Explain the impact of COVID-19 on mental health professionals.
  • Define compassion fatigue.

10:00 -10:05 am – Introduction

10:05-10:30 am –Discussion on intersectional identities both for presenter and attendees, definition of compassion fatigue & completion of the Silent Witness Worksheet

10:30-11:00 am -Education on statistical impacts of Covid 19 on mental health especially amongst communities of color, in depth dive into symptoms of compassion fatigue and evidence-based tools that can be used to measure severity of symptoms

11:00-11:30 am -Personal reflection on differentiating between real & perceived threat and education on trauma genesis

11:30-11:45 am – Break

11:45-12:15 pm –Practicing 4 different self-regulation skills clinicians can use in their daily practice with clients

12:15-12:45 pm –Discussion on the components necessary for the “antidote” to compassion fatigue

12:45-1:05 pm –Begin task of writing personal mission statement and identifying core values

1:05-1:15 pm – Q&A

All registrations are non-refundable. However, you may request a full credit toward a future training if:

  • You notify us at least 72 hours before the event start time.
  • Credit is valid for up to 6 months from the original event date.
  • No credit will be issued for no-shows or cancellations made on the same day.
  • When you register for an event, you agree to these terms

The New Jersey Social Work Examiners Board accepts ASWB ACE Provider credits. The New Jersey Professional Counselors Board accepts NBCC-approved CE provider credits.

All Other States Social Workers & Professional Counselors

All other states accept ASWB ACE Provider credits and NBCC-approved CE provider credits. Licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for credit.

Florida Certification Board

Clinical Events is approved by the Florida Certification Board (FCB) to offer continuing education programs (Provider # 5527-A).

Canada Social Workers

BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, and QC accept ASWB ACE-approved provider programs to meet licensure renewal requirements.  Licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their province. Provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for credit.
