Integrating Somatic Therapies in Trauma Treatment

Jan. 17, 2026

10:00 AM - 1:15 PM (EST)

Virtual Event
3 CE Credits
Talk therapy isn’t always enough—trauma lives in the body, disrupting the nervous system and causing progress to feel slow when left unresolved. This course introduces practical somatic techniques to restore regulation, deepen healing, and enhance your therapeutic work. Learn to engage the body as a powerful ally in trauma recovery.
While much of psychotherapy focuses on mental and psychological aspects of treatment, the connection between the brain and body is essential for healing. Trauma is often stored in the body, leaving the nervous system dysregulated, which can in turn hinder progress in trauma recovery.  Restoring balance and harmony within the nervous system is a critical step toward achieving regulation and enhancing therapeutic outcomes. This course will help you recognize the importance of somatic techniques and introduce practical, foundational skills that you can integrate into your work with clients to support their healing journey.

This live interactive webinar is designed for behavioral health professionals, including:

  • Counselors
  • Social Workers
  • Psychotherapists
  • Marriage & Family Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Substance Use Disorders Counselors
  • Case Managers
