While psychotherapy often focuses on mental aspects, the connection between the brain and body is crucial for healing. Trauma stored in the body can lead to a dysregulated nervous system, hindering recovery. This course highlights the importance of somatic techniques and provides practical skills to integrate into your work with clients, supporting their healing journey.
While much of psychotherapy focuses on mental and psychological aspects of treatment, the connection between the brain and body is essential for healing.  Trauma is often stored in the body, leaving the nervous system dysregulated which can in turn hinder progress in trauma recovery. Restoring balance and harmony within the nervous system is a critical step toward achieving regulation and enhancing therapeutic outcomes. This course will help you recognize the importance of somatic techniques and introduce practical, foundational skills that you can integrate into your work with clients to support their healing journey.
