This workshop is for clinicians who are focused on treating complex trauma and dissociation with an IFS-informed approach. Learn key strategies for addressing fragmented parts and inner conflict while enhancing safety in therapy. This workshop equips clinicians to navigate the unburdening phases of IFS therapy compassionately and effectively.
This 3-hour workshop is for psychotherapists, psychologists, and other medical professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of treating complex trauma and dissociation using an IFS-informed approach. Participants will explore key IFS strategies for working with fragmented parts, inner conflict, and dissociative defenses, integrating mapping and unblending to effectively work with parts before trauma processing. This workshop will further enhance the clinicians’ ability to facilitate safety in the therapeutic process to work through the unburdening phases of IFS therapy with complex trauma populations while ensuring a compassionate and evidence-based approach.

  • Enhance safety in facilitating trauma processing and IFS unburdening steps with complex trauma
    populations.

10:30-11:00 am –Core principles of IFS therapy relevant to trauma
11:00-11:30 am – Explore mapping tools and techniques for identifying, understanding, and creating safety for fragmented parts
11:30-11:45 am – Break
11:45-12:15 pm –IFS unblending tools and working with inner conflict and stuck systems
12:15-12:45 pm –Navigating dissociative defenses (understanding and working with protective mechanisms and blocking)
12:45-1:05 pm – Integrating IFS for complex trauma processing and unburdening steps
1:05-1:15 pm  – Q&A

All Other States

All oter states accept ASWB ACE Provider credits and NBCC-approved CE provider credits. Licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their jurisdictions. States and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for credit.

Canada Social Workers

BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, and QC accept ASWB ACE-approved provider programs to meet licensure renewal requirements.  Licensees are responsible for determining whether courses meet the CE requirements in their province. Provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for credit.

Canada Counsellors
